Right before coming here, her brother was in the home and overheard his father accepting money to sell both the children to a group of men. Her brother left and ran away to a different village.
For two days Lasya's father tortured her thinking she knew where her brother was. He tried pouring chemical cleaners over her head. Lasya’s eyes and mouth started burning and she screamed so loud that her neighbors called the police. The police found her brother and reunited the two of them and brought them to us. Their Father is currently in jail and waiting to be sentenced.
