Ruth Cox

Before coming to West Africa in 2000, I spent seven years serving in China. When the Lord led me here, I never could have imagined all that He would do. By His grace, we built an orphanage, which soon grew into a school, a clinic, and a sponsorship program for children and widows.

In 2013, I felt the Lord calling me to begin a new chapter, and I passed the leadership of that ministry to another SW's colleague. Since then, Linda Wilk and I have been serving in the Southwest region. Though the challenges are many, God has been so faithful. Together, we’ve seen Him open doors to build a medical center, drill wells, plant churches, and continue the sponsorship programs that bring hope and help to children and widows.
