Timothee
Timothée was born in 2018 in a remote village in West Africa. Both of his parents are living, but his family is currently facing very unstable and difficult circumstances.
Until a few months ago, Timothée’s family lived as hardworking farmers, growing primarily corn and beans to feed themselves. His mother spent a great deal of time walking nearly two kilometers to collect water from a well. Timothée helped his family by gathering firewood, but like any eight-year-old boy, his favorite thing to do was play soccer with his friends.
Then everything changed.
As the threat of terrorism began to encroach on their community, Timothée’s father made the difficult decision to gather their most essential belongings and evacuate the family to a safer location with extended family.
Timothée doesn’t understand why everything familiar to him had to be left behind. His home, his village, his friends, and the life he knew are now far away. His family hopes that someday they will be able to return home, but for now, they are doing their best to begin again.
This year, Timothée is starting first grade for the 2026–2027 school year, and he is excited about the opportunity to make new friends and begin school. His father understands how important education is for his son, but with their farming income no longer available, he worries about how he will afford Timothée’s school fees.
Sponsorship donations will help provide his tuition and necessary school supplies. In addition, his entire family will receive a blessing twice each year in the form of soap and 100 pounds of rice.
Would you consider helping this vulnerable family by becoming Timothée’s sponsor?
Your support can give him the opportunity to continue his education, make new friends, and have hope for a brighter future during an incredibly difficult season of his young life.
Thank you for considering sponsoring Timothée and blessing his family.
