Hello, my name is Souleymane. I live with my parents and my brother in a small home with no running water. We have to travel at least a kilometer to get to the closest well. It is very hard for my family to go there more than once a day, so we try to get enough water to get us through all of the cooking and cleaning that we have to do. Neither one of my parents has a regular job, but we have a small farm where we will grow the food that we eat throughout the year. We are a Muslim family. This year (2020-21), I am in kindergarten, so school is new for me. I am learning how to recognize my letters and how to count. My teacher likes to read stories to us and to let us color with crayons. We get to play many games and sing all kinds of songs. I also like to play soccer. When I am all grown up, I would like to become a teacher so that I can teach other kids these kinds of things.
