Sakinata is a bright and determined second grader (2025-26) living in a small, humble home with her parents and four siblings. Despite the challenges her family faces—such as living without electricity or running water and traveling nearly a kilometer to fetch water from the closest well—Sakinata remains resilient. Every day, she walks 800 meters to school, where her favorite subject is math. She shares her days with two of her siblings who also attend school, while the others remain at home with their parents, who work hard tending their small family farm to grow the food they need.

After school, Sakinata enjoys playing marbles, studying her lessons, or helping her mother around the house. Her dream is to become a doctor so she can help others in need. Although her parents currently do not have formal jobs, their dedication ensures the family’s basic needs are met through their farmwork.
