Born in 2020 in a remote village in West Africa, Raphael and his family are struggling through circumstances that are no fault of their own. Both of his parents are living, and they work hard every day simply to survive. They are subsistence farmers who struggle to grow enough food to feed their family. They have no running water or electricity, and their home is a simple mud-brick house.

Despite the hardships he faces, Raphael loves going to school. Now in the second grade for the 2026–2027 school year, he enjoys being with his friends and is learning to read and write. School gives this little boy something precious: hope for a better future.

A sponsor could make a tremendous difference in Raphael's life and in the life of his family. Sponsorship donations help provide tuition and school supplies, but the impact goes far beyond those necessities. Knowing that someone cares about him can bring encouragement, dignity, and renewed hope to Raphael and his family.

Twice each year, Raphael and his family would also receive a gift of 100 pounds of rice, providing much-needed food for their household during difficult times.
