Hello, my name is Priscille. I live with my parents and my brother in Yako. I’m at the Sheltering Wings School and I like history and geography classes. In my free time I play Chandelle, an African game like hopscotch, with my friends. Priscille was born in 1999. Her parents are both still living but she is greatly in need of a sponsor. Priscille's father is a young pastor of a small church and the family struggles greatly even to have enough to eat. Even though pastors here work full-time in their churches, they also plant fields during the rainy season in order to feed their families. Priscille and her family live in a small mud-brick house in Sector 5 of Yako. They rent the house and do not have access to electricity or running water. There are three children in the family and they are all in school. Priscille needs a sponsor so that she can stay in school. In this society, it is not yet a priority to send the girls to school and if there is not enough money for all the children to go to school, Priscille will be kept home to help her mother.
