Meet Ousniatou, a bright and enthusiastic second grader (2025-26) who lives with her loving grandmother in a close-knit community. Although both of her parents are alive, circumstances have led her to be raised by her grandmother alongside her two older siblings. Ousniatou comes from a Muslim family, and she deeply values the traditions and care that surround her at home. She finds joy in her daily routine, especially when she attends school—her favorite part of the day is math class, where she excels and feels inspired to learn more.

After school, Ousniatou enjoys helping her grandmother cook meals for the family, learning important life skills and sharing cherished moments in the kitchen. When the work is done, she delights in playing marbles with her friends, embracing the simple pleasures of childhood. Ousniatou dreams of becoming a teacher one day, eager to share the gift of education with other children in her community.
