Maturian

Maturian was born in 2020 and is the youngest of three children living in one of the poorest countries in West Africa. When he was still a baby, his father became seriously ill and could no longer work. In desperation, the family sold nearly all of their meager possessions to pay for treatment. Despite their sacrifice, his father did not survive.

Now a widow, Maturian’s mother carries the full burden of providing for her children. She weaves traditional fabric to earn an income, but her earnings are simply not enough to meet the family’s most basic needs. To help survive, Maturian’s oldest sister works as a maid. Even with both of them working, the family struggles daily to afford food, school expenses, and medical care.

During the 2025–2026 school year, Maturian is in the first grade, and one of his older sisters is in the fifth grade. His mother knows that education is her children’s only hope for a better future. Without support, keeping them in school is an ongoing and difficult challenge.

Would you prayerfully consider becoming Maturian’s sponsor? Your sponsorship would provide tuition, school supplies, and basic medical care. In addition, twice each year Maturian’s family would receive 100 pounds of rice and soap—critical support that helps ensure the entire family can survive during times of extreme need.

Your decision to sponsor Maturian would mean stability, nourishment, and hope for a family that has already endured so much.
