Mateus lives with  his mother and he has a younger sister. Since he was six months old, he has had asthma.  It has negatively affected his education.

       He is a little shy and has a little difficulty fitting in with other children because he has also suffered a lot of bullying at school.  

      Mateus came to the base looking to join the free soccer program and once in the program, Mateus   was awarded a 7th grade scholarship  at the YWAM base Christian School, Aprender é Viver for the 2024-2025 school year.   

        He really likes his teachers and friends, he identified with them, he tries very hard to do his best at school.  He loves soccer and drawing. 

With this sponsorship,  Mateus   will receive school supplies, and other basic needs such as clothing and shoes. He will also be eligible to  receive a monthly food basket for his family.
