Maria Yasmim – Born November 18, 2016 (9 years old)
Maria Yasmim is a 9-year-old student currently in the 4th grade at the Maria Marli Municipal School. She is the younger sister of Lualana Alexa. One of her favorite activities is riding the bicycle she received as a gift from her parents.
Maria lives with her family in a wooden house located in an informal settlement. The family faces significant social vulnerability. Her stepfather works as a supervisor at a bazaar, while her mother stays at home to care for Maria and her three siblings: Thayler (12), Lualana (13), and Eloá (3). The family is also expecting a new addition soon, as her mother is 8 months pregnant.
While her family attends the Mormon Church, Maria is learning more about the Word of God through her participation in the project.
