Ibrahim was born in 2008. He lives with both of his parents and his 5 sisters. In their home, there is no running water or electricity, but there are given the security of having a wall enclosing the courtyard. Ibrahim must work hard along with the other members of his family. Ibrahim’s father works as a mechanic. This is very inconsistent work in Burkina Faso, so his mother also raises animals to supplement their income. Ibrahim is very good about helping his mother take care of the animals. Ibrahim walks the short distance to school. He loves school so much, that he has decided that he wants to be a teacher when he grows up. He likes to make pretend cars from old boxes and play with them. He also loves to play soccer with his friends.
