Hello, my name is Doriane. I was born in 2015. I live with my parents in a small part of our family’s courtyard. We have a lot of family members that live there with us. We do not have either running water or electricity. The well where we get our water is about a kilometer from our home. We have to go there a lot to get the water that we use for all of our cooking, cleaning, and drinking throughout the day. We are a Catholic family. I walk about two kilometers each way to get to school because my family doesn’t have a bike that I can ride to get there. This year (2020-21), I am in first grade. We are learning all kinds of different things in school. We are learning new songs and games. My favorite subject is reading. When I am all grown up, I would like to become a teacher!
