Abdoul Razak was born in 2009 and is living with his mother and three half-brothers. Each of his brothers has a different father. Abdoul Razak’s father abandoned his family not long after his birth. His uncle has given them a place to live. Their home has no electricity or water. Water is difficult to get as it is over 3 ½ kilometers to the nearest well. Abdoul Razak’s mother buys and sells vegetables to help earn money to feed her family. They do not have any land to grow food so this makes it very difficult and there are days that there is very little to eat. Abdoul Razak was given a place at the Sheltering Wings School. He walks 3 kilometers to and from school each day. He loves school and going to church. He says that when he is older he would like to join the military. With sponsorship, Abdoul Razak will have a hot lunch each day, help with medical care and can continue his education.
